Protect yourself against cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases.
At GreenLink Medical Clinic, we provide HPV vaccination for women in Khatib and Yishun to help protect against cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases.
Gardasil® 9 helps protect against the HPV types responsible for the majority of cervical cancers, as well as several other HPV-related diseases. Vaccination is most effective before exposure to HPV but may still benefit many women up to 45 years of age.
Why Should Women Receive HPV Vaccination?
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common viral infections worldwide. Most sexually active women will be exposed to HPV at some point in their lives, often without knowing it.
While many HPV infections resolve naturally, persistent infection with certain high-risk HPV types can lead to cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases.
Vaccination with Gardasil® 9 helps protect against the HPV types responsible for the majority of cervical cancers, providing an effective way to reduce your future risk.
Gardasil® 9 provides protection against nine HPV types associated with several diseases affecting women, including:
What Does Gardasil® 9 Help Protect Against?
- Cervical cancer
- Precancerous cervical changes
- Vulval cancer
- Vaginal cancer
- Genital warts
Vaccination works by protecting against HPV infection before exposure to these virus types.
Who Should Receive HPV Vaccination?
Gardasil® 9 is suitable for many females between 9 and 45 years of age.
Vaccination may be recommended for:
✔️ Girls from 9 years of age
✔️ Teenagers and young adults
✔️ Women who were not vaccinated during adolescence
✔️Adults who may still benefit after discussion with their doctor
HPV Vaccination Schedule
The recommended schedule depends on your age when vaccination begins.
Girls aged 9–14 years
✅ Two doses
Women aged 15 years and above
✅ Three doses
HPV Vaccination and Cervical Screening
HPV vaccination is an important part of cervical cancer prevention, but it does not replace regular cervical screening.
Women should continue to undergo recommended cervical cancer screening (Pap smear or HPV screening) according to national guidelines, even after completing HPV vaccination.
Using both vaccination and regular screening provides the best protection against cervical cancer.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
HPV vaccination is not routinely recommended during pregnancy. If you become pregnant before completing the vaccine series, the remaining doses are usually postponed until after delivery.
Women who are planning pregnancy or are breastfeeding should discuss the timing of vaccination with their doctor.

Is Gardasil® 9 safe?
Yes. Gardasil® 9 has been extensively studied and is used worldwide. Most side effects are mild, such as temporary soreness or redness at the injection site.
Can I receive the vaccine after the age of 26?
Yes. Gardasil® 9 is approved for individuals up to 45 years of age. Whether vaccination is appropriate depends on your individual circumstances and should be discussed with your doctor.
If I have received the HPV vaccine, do I still need a Pap smear?
Yes. HPV vaccination does not protect against every HPV type. Regular cervical cancer screening remains important.
